Coffer Group Sources Restaurant Management for UK’s first Hotel Indigo Franchise

The Coffer Group has introduced contract caterer Couture UK to operate the restaurant at Hotel Indigo in Paddington – the first franchise of InterContinental Hotels’ boutique hotel brand to open in the UK – highlighting the synergy the Coffer Group can offer corporate hoteliers through the specialist knowledge of the teams within Davis Coffer Lyons and Coffer Hotels.

Acting for London Town Hotels in the management contract, the Group introduced Couture to run the hotel’s Phi Brasserie brand, a fast casual gourmet restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner from fresh seasonal produce.

First opened in Midtown Atlanta in 2004, the Indigo brand is known as a leading industry boutique hotel brand, combining the conveniences and consistencies of a brand hotel with the design and service personality of a boutique.

The innovative concept, which is based on renewal – changes are made throughout the year similar to the way retailers change their window displays – has since opened 18 other hotels across America with 56 further in the pipeline. InterContinental Hotels announced its plans for expansion into Europe last year.

The group signed a 20-year franchise deal with London Town Hotels and following a conversion of the 68-room Niki Hotel in Paddington opened its first UK branch in December last year.

Coffer Hotels Managing Director Nick Barber, said: “With the resources within our DCL, Coffer Hotels and Coffer Corporate Leisure businesses I am fully expecting this type of restaurant solution within Hotel Indigo to be repeated elsewhere, as our corporate hotelier clients seek specialist advice to maximise their food & beverage opportunities.”
